Shell Retail – China , Vice President
Chen Cuiwei (Rebecca Chan) became VP Retail, China, on January 1, 2015 based in Beijing. In this role, Rebecca is responsible for the design and execution of Shell’s retail strategy for China, working with Shell’s joint venture partners to provide customers with access to sites in convenient locations, high quality products and superior services. Rebecca is also a member of the Shell China Country Coordination Team.
Rebecca joined Shell in January 2012 as General Manager of the Shell Tongyi joint venture. She oversaw the Tongyi operation, which is one of the largest lubricant manufacturers in China with plants located in Beijing, Xianyang and Wuxi. Tongyi specializes in providing high quality lubricants to the Chinese market in areas such as truck, automotive, motorcycle and industrial oils, and lubricating greases. Rebecca was Retail Director of Shell China in 2014.
Rebecca has more than 20 years of experience in managing manufacturing as well as business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales operations in the Asia Pacific construction industry. Prior to joining Shell, she held the role of Regional Marketing Director, Building Innovations, Asia Pacific at DuPont. In this position, Rebecca led strategic marketing for a diverse portfolio of building products including decorative surfaces, weatherization and geotextile membrane.
Rebecca has a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is Six Sigma certified.
In her leisure time, Rebecca enjoys yoga, pilates, boxing and physical training. She has a keen interest in economics. Rebecca has two daughters who are pursuing their undergraduate studies in the United Kingdom.
